Ultra RARE Japanese Ibanez Ragtime Special from 1982.
This is a one owner guitar since it was bought new in 1982. The Golden era in Japanese guitar building. Top craftsman of the 20th century.
It features a slightly smaller body, with a rounded back for a better projected fuller sound, not comprising the tone and sound in any way. Given the size, it’s also super comfortable to play, while standing or sitting down. Beautiful wooden rosette and tri colour binding, and 24 frets on your e string and b string. 22 fret count on a G-string is enough.
For its age it’s in really good condition. One or 2 very minor scuff marks, and the nut was replaced somewhere in the last 44 years. The output jack is a bit dusty and scratchy, and my big hands will never fit in that sound hole. But let’s be honest, you’re buying this beautiful instrument for its rarity and collectors value.
It comes with an age related George Washburn vintage hard case.
